Not bad. But a little bit tired hotel

Mick O'Shea's just felt like a tired hotel. The bed was clean and comfortable, as were the towels which covered most of my needs for an overnight business stay. The door lock was broken, the carpet had stains, and the bathroom floor and grout was dirty. Small things like the toilet roll holder hanging off the wall. Trying to shave with the mirror away from the basin was difficult. The shower leaked all over the floor needing the extra towels to soak it up. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The steak in the restaurant was delicious, if a little overpriced for a pub. But the pub did have a good atmosphere, even though it was quiet when I stayed there. Would I stay there again? I'd probably look at the other alternatives before I decided.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely young man, Lucas. Booking in was quick and easy. The room was large and spotless with everything we needed. The bed was super comfy with extra pillows provided. Our dinner was amazing. I ordered the crispy salmon and partner the fisherman's basket. Big meals and they were delivered quickly. Only negative was the exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn’t working. Overall 5 stars. Hope to be back for a longer stay

I was impressed that although your dining room doesn't do breakfasts, you provided the basic essentials for a quick breakfast in the morning. Thank you Lovely friendly staff made the lonely stay for work enjoyable.

The service from every staff member from reception to food service to cleaning was lovely and really made our stay amazing!! They're all just wonderful, accommodating people. The entire place itself was incredible! And the food!!! My gosh!!! Just everything is incredible there

Shower was dirty, had to pay an extra $20 for an early checkin (1/2 hour) wouldn't except cash because they said it was "too hard". On booking online was asked if I wanted to pay at hotel upon arrival and went for that option, but on arrival found it had already been paid for from my account. Meal was very expensive and terrible. Wouldn't go back there.

The room was modern, clean and quite a bit bigger and cheaper than some I have stayed in. Staff were friendly and helpful. I could not fault anything about the accommodation but, (and this may be just me being a bit out of touch) the prices for wine in the dining room were, to me, way too heavily marked up. Otherwise, a very enjoyable experience.

We were surprised at the seemingly recently refurbished room. There was plenty of room (especially in the king-sized bed. For the most part it was fresh and clean.
